Join the international Instagram photo contest from September 19 to October 6, created by Wine Pass in collaboration with Contestgram. Everyone - no matter your nationality or where you take your pictures - can participate and share the memorable moments they've had in company with a good glass of wine.
If you think, like we do, that the best moments in life are accompanied with a glass of wine, don't miss out on this photo contest created by Wine Pass in collaboration with Contestgram. Wine Pass is the first magazine published expressly for wine tourists; Contestgram is a free Instagram photo contest App that launches a new contest every two weeks. For the Wine Pass photo contest, take and tag as many photos as you'd like.
What's more, artistic talent will be noticed and awarded. Share a photo of a special "Wine Moment" during the contest from Sept. 19 to Oct. 6 - whether it be a solitary, reflective evening with a glass in hand, or a large celebration where you open that special bottle - and get the chance to win a prestigious bottle of Barolo Riserva 2006 from the Palladino Winery of Serralunga d'Alba. If not a finalist, you might still get privileged access to the Wine Museum (WiMu) of Barolo. In this museum dedicated to the wine tourist, the WiMu will display the best photos submitted to the Wine Pass contest in a special display.
But how do you capture a Wine Moment? It's simple. When you're drinking your glass of wine and feel a bolt of inspiration, or find yourself lost in your thoughts from the meditative power of wine; when the company is extra-enjoyable, or the scenery especially beautiful: any time you have a glass of wine in hand and the moment wouldn't be the same without it is a Wine Moment worthy of a photo. It doesn't matter where you are, what wine you're drinking, or who you're with (or not). As long as you have a smartphone or tablet for using Contestgram, you can enter your photo in the contest.
Once you capture your Wine Moment, it's time to share. Download the free Contestgram App and upload your photo following the easy instructions. Or, even simpler, share your photo directly on Instagram by tagging the photo with #winepass. Your potential public is over 150 million Instagram users, plus over 100,000 people in the Contestgram community ready to see and comment on your photo. Take and tag as many photos as you'd like.
All the photos tagged with #winepass will be evaluated by the editorial staff of Wine Pass and the experts at Contestgram. The top five photos will receive an award, and from these finalists, the King Wine Moment will be chosen on October 14.
The prizes themselves will, naturally, help you enjoy more moments with wine. All finalists will receive a Crumpled Map of the Barolo and Barbaresco wine zones. Crumpled Maps are lightweight, waterproof maps that be folded and crumpled without fear of tearing; this one will have the best wineries in one of Italy's most famous wine regions indicated. First prize will receive a bottle of Barolo Riserva "San Bernardo" 2006, a unique collector's wine.
Finally, not just the finalists and grand winner will receive recognition. The Wine Museum in Barolo, a popular stopping point for tourists from around the world, will hold an exhibition of the best photos selected by the jury. The show will be held in one of the Museum's important rooms in collaboration with Tonki, the innovative 100% recycled cardboard digital photo frames by Wehang.it.
Don't hold back - we want all of your Wine Moments! And, most importantly, don't forget to enjoy that glass of wine to the last drop.

AZIENDA VINICOLA PALLADINO
Palladino Winery is a historic company in Serralunga d'Alba, located in the heart of the Barolo wine zone. Casa Palladino is located in the historical town center itself, where wine and life form an easy balance. Its history runs deep and goes back centuries: On the outer wall of the building is a plaque inscribed with the date 1870 and a story of a legacy of 80 thousand lire (the equivalent of about $55), money that was used for the production of wine. In 1974, the cellars were bought by the Palladino cousins who, after reconstruction in 1978, began producing wine to be bottled. Their philosophy is based on respect for the vineyards, which are worked manually according to tradition. They pay great attention to detail in order to bring a healthy, high quality product to the cellars, where the grapes are then treated used minimal invasive technology. Over the years, this philosophy has allowed Palladino Winery to successfully sell its wines, for the most part on the international market. www.palladinovini.com
