In Piemonte once we had spring time in the middle of winter, and sometimes we are overtaken by intensive snow falling on the edge of spring…. The weather is sometimes like a woman – variable and full of surprises. :) And even though I’m not a fan of snow (maybe because I don’t practice winter sports which would compensate difficulties on the roads), I must admit I was charmed by white Langhe hills, grapevines hidden under a light duvet, crystals sparkling in the sun light… Usually views you can enjoy in the Langhe and Roero are breathtaking, but the landscape in white scenery, with fluffy curves of hills with spread over little towns and castles looked really fabulous…

Taking advantage of sunny weather I jumped into the car and went for a short trip from Alba to Serralunga d’Alba, then to Barolo and on my way back I passed by La Morra. I stopped many time trying to park my car just on the edge of a steep slope with my camera in hand, immortalizing the wonderful white landscapes of Piemonte. I hope you will enjoy your virtual walk in the snow!

I’m Polish blogger and freelance journalist tasting “la dolce vita” by traveling around Piedmont. As Italia is my passion since the childhood I’m happy having the chance to discover  the kingdom of  great cuisine and probably the best wines in the world, but also charming little towns and interesting history. My blog  Bel Piemonte (available also in Polish and in Italian) was born to show the beauty of this region and to encourage others to discover this part of the Apennine Peninsula.
